Where do I possibly begin? The
food was absolutely superb, the service and attention to
detail was outstanding. Not to mention the most
comfortable bed I have ever slept in! It was an absolute
pleasure to stay in your lovely home..Miss A,

Le Bignon has been
carefully restored to combine eighteenth
century charm and elegance with twenty-first
century comfort and convenience. On the second
floor our three ensuite guest rooms offer you
style and comfort.
The Rooms gently nestling in the
eaves of the house, our three fabulous rooms are
light and bright with a low key elegance. All
three rooms are based around classic Toile de
Juoy, but each has its own feel and personality! |
 |
 |
We've made sure we haven't
forgotten the basics like top quality,
comfortably firm king size or twin beds, bedside
tables with a reading light and room for a carafe
of nighttime water, somewhere cosy to sit and
enjoy a quiet drink and mirrors and electric
points that allow you to dry your hair without
being a contortionist (of course we have provided
a hairdryer). |
 |
 |
But we have also tried to
give you a few surprises, supremely
indulgent Egyptian cotton bed linen, a choice of
firm or soft pillows, cosy hot water bottles for
our Winter guests, your own mini fridge so you
can enjoy fresh milk with the tea and filter
coffee you will find in your room, an alarm clock
and an iPod docking station so
you can enjoy your favourite music.
And in the ensuite shower rooms ...
plenty of hot water from thermostatically
controlled showers, Egyptian cotton towels and
generously sized bathrobes, room to arrange your
own travelling essentials without having to live
out of your toilet bag and La Compagnie de
Provence liquid soap, shower gel and shampoo. |

The Sitting Room
- Great bedrooms are essential but when we are
away, we always like to have somewhere else to
enjoy a drink, dip into a few magazines and
books, perhaps play a game or two of cards or
simply to have a chat with some fellow guests. I
don't know if you feel the same, but just in
case, the Sitting Room should do nicely.
Internet Access - just in case
you need to check your email (entirely optional
of course!) you will find a desk with laptop with
complimentary broadband internet
access in the alcove under the
stairs.

 |
The
Dining Room - a short step from the
Sitting Room takes you into the Dining Room where
the aim is simple. To provide fabulous fresh
food, prepared with enthusiasm and a true love of
cooking and served with a smile. The room itself
is large and airy with a great view over the
garden. Here again we have an old terracotta
tiled floor and a large original marble
fireplace. The tables are set simply with white
table linen, sparkling glassware, candles and
fresh flowers from the garden. |
 |
 |
The
tables can be arranged to suit you, either
singly for 2 or put together to cater
for parties up to 12. Since you simply cannot
hurry a good meal, the chairs are crucial. We
spent months searching for the right chairs,
looking for that combination of good looks,
sturdy construction and maximum support and
comfort. Finally we think we found them and jolly
nice they look. But we can always find that extra
cushion for support if you really can't relax as
we would wish you to, just ask.
