Dinner
at Le Bignon
During our time
here, so many of our guests requested
recipes from Peter after having the table
d'hotes dinner that we decided the best
thing was to put them all together into a
book. Dinner at Le Bignon
is the result - not only a collection of
recipes but also information about food
from our region, hints on buying food in
France and lots of cooking tips. Paperback.
93 pages. 6.50 if purchased on
site or £9.95 inclusive p&p. To
order your copy, simply email us for full
details. Bon Appetit!
At Le
Bignon, our aim is to give you
the opportunity to sample the very best
food and wine that this marvellous region
has to offer. All
guests, whether staying in Chambres
d'Hotes or in Vine House, are welcome to
take Breakfast and Dinner or Children's
High Tea (Vine House guests under 12). |

It
is easy to see why this region is known
as the Garden of France. All around us are fields
of vegetables and flowers and our local markets
are packed with regional produce that is a joy to
buy and cook. We continue to work on expanding
our own kitchen garden to bring more and more
food straight from the garden to the table. In
addition all meat and poultry is locally sourced.

Breakfast
is served around 9am. We offer fresh coffee or
Twinings teas, freshly pressed orange juice or
apple juice from our own orchard, a buffet of
cereals, cold meat, cheese, smoked salmon or
boiled eggs, yoghurt, honey and fresh fruit with
breads and croissants, home made jams and
jellies, such as quince, redcurrant and orange,
damson and mulberry.
Dinner is served at 8.00pm and
you can enjoy an aperitif from the honesty bar in
the sitting room whenever you like!
